Ben Dexheimer Added As Fourth Bruins’ Top Prospects Representative

Jun 14, 2021

AUSTIN, Minn. – Ben Dexheimer was named the fourth representative from the Austin Bruins to attend this years’ Top Prospects Tournament the team announced on Monday.

Dexheimer, 18, was one of the Bruins’ best defensemen this past season logging 23 points in 46 total games for the black-and-gold. An Edina, MN, native, Dexheimer won’t have to travel far to compete in the tournament, as this season’s Top Prospects will take place in conjunction with the Robertson Cup in Blaine, MN. Dexheimer’s prowess this past season didn’t go unnoticed as the former Blake School blueliner was selected fourteenth overall in the USHL Draft this past month by the Madison Capitals.

The late addition of Dexheimer comes as the Aberdeen Wings withdrew from the tournament so they can focus on their Robertson Cup title defense on the weekend. Dexheimer will attend the top-prospects tournament along with his Bruins teammates, Peter Jacobs, Max Ruoho, and Alex Trombley.

The NAHL announced the Top Prospects Tournament format earlier on Monday, which includes four total games between the divisions. The schedule is as follows:
