The Austin Bruins Hockey Club wrapped up a two game set against the Bismarck Bobcats. The B’s got off to a great start in the first with a goal from Drew Anderson, assists went to CJ Smith and Chris Fischer. At the end of one period of the Bruins led 1-0. The second period Drew Anderson scored his second of the contest, Jay Dickman and Grant Eichstadt were the helpers. The B’s then added a Power Play goal from Jay Dickman John Simonson and Brandon Wahlin added assists. The final period from Riverside Arena was not the best finish. The B’s turned over the puck and had to pay as Mike Dockry found the twine. Around the 16:00 mark of the period Brandon Wahlin was given a 5:00 major on a questionable hit. Bismarck was able to tie the contest at three with two Power Play goals before regulation ended. In the overtime Bismarck prevailed with their final Power Play goal. With the four goals in the final 25:00 of the hockey game Bismarck as able to complete the sweep winning 4-3. The Black and Yellow will play next weekend against the Coulee Region Chill in a home and home series, Friday night Austin will play its final home game of the regular season.
