Austin Lose 5-2

The Austin Bruins Hockey Club was back at Riverside Arena to welcome their biggest rival, the Bismarck Bobcats.  Stanza number one did not start the way the B’s had planned. Bismarck led 1-0 with a goal from the Polish import Filip Starzynski. The Black and Yellow was able to answer with a tally from CJ Smith. Bismarck regained the lead with a Power Play goal off neat play by Filip Starzynski that set up Nate Repensky. At the end of two periods of play Austin trailed 2-1. The middle frame it was Grant Eichstadt who notched the scoring at two, assisting was Riley Colvard and Drew Anderson. Bismarck controlled the pace the rest of the second adding to more goals. At the end of two periods of play Austin trailed 4-2. The third period Bismarck continued to pour on the pressure. Austin fired just 19 pucks at Aaron Nelson through three periods of play. The final score was 5-2 Bismarck after an empty netter.
