Austin Bruins claw way to victory!

The Bruins were back in action at Riverside arena this weekend against the defending Robertson Cup Champion Bismarck Bobcats. The Bobcats come into action in third place in the Central Division. The Bobcats have lost four games in a row. The Bobcats are led by goaltender Ryan Faragher who is second in the North American Hockey League in wins. The Bruins continued to turn things around since Christmas. They have collected points in four of their last six games. With the Bruins sweep of the Aberdeen Wings last weekend the Bruins have improved their home record and are now an even .500 at on home ice. The opening period from Austin Minnesota was even as both teams battled. The Bobcats put the first one in with less than a minute to going period number one. Off the face off it was Nickoli Rosenthal who pumped it in assisting on the play was Matt Gates. At the first intermission the Bruins were trailing 1-0. The second period the Bruins picked up a goal as Alex Tesensky set up Sam Olson on a rush and the Bruins tied it up at one. The Bobcats stormed back right away and tied it at 2. Scoring for the Bobcats was Charles Aus assisting on the play was Dan Zawacki and Francis Deagustine. The Bruins than tied it up at two courtesy of Jordan Greenberg, John Kirby was credited with the assist. At the second intermission the Bruins were all tied up at two. The final period was action packed as Dawson Kulhmann dropped the gloves at center ice and took out the Bobcats captain Matt Gates. The Bruins then carried that momentum and put it in the back of the net as Charlie Adams went five hole, assisting on the goal was Trevor Waldoch. The Bruins added one more as Mike Adomowicz scored in the slot assisting on the goal was Alex Tesensky. The Bruins go on to beat the defending Robertson Cup champions Bismarck Bobcats. Also Keegan Asmundson picks up career win 25. The Bruins play tomorrow night at Riverside Arena at 7:00.
