ALUMNI REPORT: Smith is an AHL All-Star

AHL: C.J. Smith (Bruins ’11-13) was one of two Rochester Americans named to the AHL All-Star Classic, which will take place January 28th-29th in Utica, NY. Smith scored the Amerks’ lone goal in their 3-1 loss on Saturday night to Lehigh Valley and leads the team with 31 points in 36 games.

ECHL: Eamon McAdam (Bruins ’10-11) stopped 34 of 36 Reading Royals shots in Worcester’s 3-2 win on Saturday night.

SPHL: Keegan Asmundson (Bruins ’10-11) picked up his 10th win of the season with 26 saves in Huntsville’s 6-4 win over Macon on Saturday. His 10 wins is tied for 2nd among all SPHL goalies.

NCAA DI: Jason Pawloski (Bruins ’12-13) made 16 saves on 18 shots in Mankato’s 5-2 win over Alaska-Anchorage on Friday. Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) had a goal and an assist in the game as well. Niko Hildenbrand (Bruins ’13-14) had a one goal, two assist weekend but the Massachusetts Minutemen were swept at Yale and UMass Lowell. Brennan Sanford (Bruins ’13-14) scored Michigan State’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Ohio State on Friday. Alex Jasiek (Bruins ’14-15), Jon Richards (Bruins ’16-17), Justin Misiak (Bruins ’15-17), and Jay Dickman (Bruins ’12-14) posted single assists in their team’s weekends. Josh Wilkins (Bruins ’14-15) scored his seventh goal for Providence.

NCAA DIII: Cory Dunn (Bruins ’13-15) was the only former Bruin with a point in Adrian’s 2-1 home win over Utica. Michael Piehler (Bruins ’15-17) had an assist but Bethel fell to Tanner Dufault (Bruins ’16-17) and St. John’s by a 5-4 final on Saturday night.

USHL: Zach Driscoll (Bruins ’14-15) was spectacular on Saturday, stopping 35 of 36 shots in a 4-1 road victory against Tri City. He was named USHL Goaltender of the Week and is currently 2nd in the league in GAA and SV%. Fellow former Bruin goalie Jake Kucharski (Bruins ’16-17) made 18 stops in Des Moines’ 5-3 win over Team USA on Friday.
