Sep 29, 2020

AUSTIN, Minn. – With the 2020-21 NAHL season right around the corner, the Austin Bruins have announced their first home preseason game of the year, a matinee against the US National Team Development Program on October 5, 2020, at 1:05 P.M.

The matinee showdown will not be open to the public but current season ticket holders, billets, and corporate sponsors with tickets will get free admission. The game will also be broadcast live on HockeyTV with the voice of the Bruins TJ Chillot handling the play-by-play.

“We’re excited to host the US National Development Team, here in Austin,” said Bruins Head Coach Steve Howard. “ It’ll be great for our guys to share the ice and play against the nation’s top junior players.”

Based out of Plymouth, MI, the US National Team Development Program is operated by USA Hockey, the governing body of the USHL, NAHL, NA3HL, and more. During last season’s NHL Draft, the USNTDP saw a record 17 players get selected including first-overall pick Jack Hughes, and seven others in the first round.

Fans wanting to sign up for season tickets can do so on the Bruins website by visiting: www.austinbruins.com/season-tickets. Every season ticket holder registered before October 4th, 2020 will receive a free ticket to the game on October 5, 2020, against the USNTDP.

Following their game with the USNTDP on Monday, the Bruins will host back-to-back preseason games against the USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers on Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10. Tickets to those games will be made available to the public in the coming days. Stay tuned to Austin Bruins social media and austinbruins.com for all the latest Bruins news and notes.
