Bruins Tender Goalie Zdunski

Jun 30, 2017

The Bruins have added a goaltender to the mix for the 2017-18 season, signing ’98-born netminder Owen Zdunski to a tender agreement.

Zdunski is from Brentwood, TN and started his organized hockey career with the TPH Thunder organization, which also produced fellow tender Seth Bacon. He played for a single season at Ravenwood High School in 2013, under now Bruins goaltending coach Al Rooney and won a Tennessee state championship (The Predators Cup). From Ravenwood High, he went on to the Culver Military Academy (Indiana), then Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA. This past season, Zdunski played in 23 games for Lawrence, posting a 2.16 goals-against average.

“Owen will be an outstanding addition to the Bruins lineup,” said Rooney. “Not only does he possess excellent athletic skills but he also carries with him an unflappable demeanor which I think is so important for the position. He can be a big piece of the puzzle moving forward if he performs like I expect that he can.”

The Bruins are holding their main tryout camp from July 11th-14th at Riverside Arena, open for free to the public to attend. The Main Camp All-Star Game will be held Friday, July 14th at 6:00 PM, $5 general admission but free for all students and season ticket holders or those who purchase a ten game pack.
