AUSTIN, MN – Justin Misiak scored at 2:31 of overtime to complete a Bruins comeback on Friday night at Riverside Arena against the Aberdeen Wings. It was the fifth win in five tries for the Bruins against their Central Division foes.

Aberdeen scored both their goals in the first period, opening the scoring at 2:56, when Wings' leading point man Tucker DeYoung cashed a rebound off the back boards from a Kyle Siemers shot. After Miha Zajc scored his 2nd goal of the season from Zach Kennedy and Michael Piehler, Kevin Fitzergald netted a late powerplay goal to restore the Aberdeen lead. It was 2-1 Wings through the first 40 minutes.

With just under seven minutes remaining in regulation, Jade Miller tied the game after a Griff Slightam point shot was blocked, giving the Bruins odd-man numbers in front of the net. Gilbert Gabor found Miller, who notched his team leading 15th goal of the season. With 12 seconds left in the 3rd, the Bruins were assessed a bench minor penalty for too many men on the ice and began overtime shorthanded.

After killing off 1:48 of a 4-on-3 Aberdeen powerplay, the Bruins dominated possession in the 3-on-3. Gilbert Gabor and Marcus Karlstrom patiently passed the puck around until Justin Misiak came streaking off the bench and took a feed from Gabor for the game-winner. Kris Carlson made 20 saves for his 13th win while Peter Thome stopped 25 in the losing effort.

The Bruins seek their third sweep of Aberdeen on Saturday Night in the weekend finale. Game time at Riverside Arena is 7:05.
