Get Out the Brooms

The Austin Bruins wrapped up a two game set in Aberdeen South Dakota on Saturday night against the Wings. The opening period the Bruins outshot the Wings 12-10. The Bruins got their first goal off the stick of Austin Nelson , assists went to Jay Dickman and Josh Bretner. The Wings were able to answer back with a Tally from Zack Kraft. At the end of one period of play the score was tied 1-1.  The second period Aberdeen was able to take over early in the second period with two goals within 20 seconds. The Bruins were able to gain some momentum off a goal from Zack Johnson, assisting was Jay Dickman. Austin than got a goal from Brandon Wahlin assists went to Easton Viitala and Mike Bond. The Bruins regained the lead with a shot from Josh Bretner on the power play, the assists went to Chris Fischer and CJ Smith. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 4-3. The third period Austin took a 5-3 lead with a power play goal from Cody Dixon, assisting was Brandon Wahlin and AJ Reid.  The Bruins were able to complete the sweep with a 5-3 victory. Austin is back in action next weekend to battle the Coulee Region Chill in Onalaska Wisconsin. You can listen to the Broadcast at AM 1480 KAUS.
