Finger & Waldoch represent Bruins

Dec 4, 2010

Jeremy Finger and Trevor Waldoch are representing the Austin Bruins at the Top Prospects event this week.  The two Bruin players are on Team Weight.

To recognize four of the NAHL’s more prominent alumni, the Top Prospects Tournament teams are named Team Miller (after Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller, who played in the NAHL as a member of the Soo Indians); Team Rafalski (after Detroit Red Wings defenseman Brian Rafalski, formerly of the NAHL’s Melvindale Blades); Team Legwand (after Nashville Predators forward David Legwand, who skated with the NAHL’s Compuware Ambassadors); and Team Weight (after New York Islanders forward Doug Weight, who developed in the NAHL as a member of the Bloomfield Jets).

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is auctioning off all game-worn player jerseys from this week’s NAHL Top Prospects Tournament through eBay.

The auction, which will include all player jerseys from Team Legwand (Gold), Team Miller (Blue), Team Rafalski (Red) and Team Weight (White), opened on Wednesday, Dec. 1 and closes on Saturday, Dec. 11, with the bid for each jersey starting at $150.

Bids can be placed at NAHL.com/Auction.

The jerseys, designed by the NAHL and manufactured by OT Sports, are stitched and sewn with each player’s last name and number. A patch of the players’ NAHL team logo is also included on the front of the jersey.

The NAHL Top Prospects Tournament will be held from Dec. 5-7 at the Iorio Ice Arena in Walpole, Mass.

At the event, four teams comprised of the NAHL’s top committed and un-committed college players, including the seven NAHL players recognized on last month's NHL Central Scouting Bureau “Players to Watch” list for 2011 draft-eligibles, will play a three-game round robin.
