Chill cool of Bruins!

The Bruins were back in action at Riverside Arena as they kicked off a series against the Coulee Region Chill. The Chill entered the weekend in 2nd place in the Central Division. The Chill is coming off a sweep of the Aberdeen Wings. Last weekend the Bruins swept the first place Owatonna Express as AJ Underwood and Charlie Adams were rewarded with player of the week honors. The first period from Riverside Arena featured the Chill getting on the board first as Micky Knox  started the scoring, picking up assists on the goal was Mike McDonald and Lucas Dillon. The Chill than added a shorthanded goal from Jake Useldinger as he received a pass from Scott bell. The Chill had a 2-0 lead at the first intermission. The second period the Bruins put one in on a rebound as Jordan Greenberg scored, Charlie Adams had the assist. The Chill put one more in on the rush as Tommy Miller scored the Chills fourth goal. At the second intermission the Bruins were trailing 1-4. The final period the Bruins had a couple of scoring opportunities early but did not capitalize. The Bruins end up losing the battle 4-1. The Bruins battle the Chill at Riverside Arena tomorrow night at 7:00. The Bruins will paint the rink pink. There will be a silent auction with items from items from many local businesses including: $200 in Wal-Mart gift cards, 1 month membership to Curves for Women, an autographed goalie stick, (MN Wild’s #32 Nikolas Backstop), men and women’s bracelet from Rogers and Holland’s Jewelers, Holiday Inn/Tore’s Live gift cards, and many more. All of the proceeds will be donated to The Hormel Institute's world-renowned breast cancer research.
