B’s Win Final Home Game

The Bruins geared up for their final home game of the regular season against the Coulee Region Chill. Austin came out strong in the first frame with 15 shots on net. The Chill only managed 5 shots in the first period. At the end of one period of play the game remained scoreless. The second stanza the Black and Yellow got a goal from AJ Reid, assisting was Josh Bretner and Jay Dickman.  Austin made it 2-0 with a goal from Jay Dickman, assisting was AJ Reid and Joe Caprio. The frame did get out of hand as the officials issued more than 40 minutes of penalties in the period. Coulee was able to capitalize with a Power Play goal cutting the Bruins lead in half. At the second intermission Austin led 2-1. The third period Austin added their third goal of the evening,   AJ Reid was credited with the tally it was his second of tally of the game. Coulee Region was able to strike back making it a 3-2 score. With moments remaining in the third period Chris Fischer set up CJ Smith for his 29th goal of the campaign. With the 4-2 victory the Bruins are 9-2 against the Chill this season. Austin will play game number 60 tomorrow evening in Onalaska Wisconsin marking the final regular season matchup of the campaign.
