The Black and Yellow were back at the Omni Center in Onalaska Wisconsin to battle the Chill from the Coulee Region. Austin took a 1-0 lead just under two minutes in. CJ Smith had the first tally off a redirect from John Simonson, Nolan Kirley also had an assist. The Chill were able to answer back with two quick goals just 15 seconds a part to take a 2-1 lead. At the end of two periods of play Austin trailed 2-1. The middle period Nolan Kirley was ejected for checking from behind. The Chill was also granted a five minute Power Play on the infraction. Coulee was able to register a Power Play goal making a 3-1 score. At the end of two periods of play Austin was outshot 31-20 and was trailing 3-1. The third frame the B’s added a Power Play goal from AJ Reid, Jay Dickman and Drew Anderson supplied the helpers. Austin added pressure in the third but could not hit the twine. The final score was 3-2 Chill. With the win on Friday Night the Bruins were crowned Central Division Champions for the first time in just three years. The Black and Yellow hit the road next weekend to battle the Minot Minotauros.
