Bruins Win Defensive Battle

The Bruins were back in action as they traveled north to face off against the Alexandria Blizzard. The first period the Bruins goaltender Keegan Asmundson stopped 15 pucks. After the first period of play the game was scoreless. The second period Sean Murphy put the Bruins on the board, assisting the goal was leading scorer James Dickinson and John Kirby the Austin Native. The third period Alexandria made things interesting and knotted the score at 1-1. At the end of overtime Keegan Asmundson had 51 saves. In the shootout it was Charlie Adams who put the icing on the cake as the Bruins skated to a victory 2-1. Austin will be on the road again the next weekend as they take on the Owatonna Express, games can be heard on Fast Hockey.com.
