BRUINS WELCOME TWO NEW FACES TO FRONT OFFICE

Jun 21, 2018

AUSTIN, MN – The Bruins are excited to announce two new additions to the front office to fill the vacancies left by Michael Keeley and Carl Vagle. The team announced Thursday the additions of TJ Chillot and Shelby Dahmes.

Chillot, who will serve as the Director of Media Relations and Sales Operations for the Bruins, comes to Minnesota from the Southern Professional Hockey League where he served as the voice of the Mississippi RiverKings for the 2017-18 season. While with the RiverKings, TJ led the team’s media department and received the 2017-18 SPHL Broadcaster of the Year Award for his efforts.

Originally from the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania, TJ embarks on his third year in professional radio having worked for ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley and with the American Hockey League’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms before joining the RiverKings full-time last season.

“I’m really excited to make the move up north and continue my broadcasting career,” said Chillot. “I can’t thank Craig [Patrick] and Mike [Cooper] enough for this opportunity. It’s obvious to me how important growth and development are within the Bruins organization and that’s something I’m drawn toward. Im honored to be the newest member of the team and I can’t wait to get to work.”

In addition to broadcasting and media relations, TJ will assist with day-to-day sales operations for the Bruins; something that comes naturally to the 30-year-old. Before getting started in media and broadcasting, TJ spent nearly a decade in the automotive industry managing a team of 15 customer service representatives.

“We’re super excited to have someone with TJ’s kind of experience joining the Austin Bruins,” commented Bruins Vice President and co-owner Mike Cooper, “We always strive to have the best people and while I think TJ has some big shoes to fill with Michael Keeley going to the ECHL, I know he will be up for the challenge.”

Michael Keeley has been the voice of the Bruins for the past three seasons and he’s become synonymous with this team,” remarked Chillot. “It’s great to see him use all that he learned in Austin to advance his career. For me, I can’t wait to expand on the foundations Michael built and to begin my own career as the voice of the Austin Bruins.

Shelby Dahmes will also joins the Bruins front office, serving as Director of Business Operations. Dahmes will manage the business office, game night operations, community outreach, and assist in sales for the team.

We are very excited to have Shelby join our team, it’s great to have someone from our area on board,” stated Bruins President and co-owner Craig Patrick. He added, “Shelby’s personality is a great match for us and the additions of he and TJ are a great win for the Bruins organization.”
