Bruins Swept by Bobcats

The Austin Bruins wrapped a home series against the first place Bismarck Bobcats. Bismarck took an early lead on the power play courtesy of Patrick Moore.  The Bruins answered back with a power play goal as Trevor Waldoch blasted one from the point that beat Tommy Burke, assisting was Matt Hansen and Johnny Simonson. The Bruins were outshot 12-11 in the first period. The middle frame Bismarck’s Donald Olivieri went upstairs and gave Bismarck the 2-1 lead. The Bruins bounced back as Christian Folin took a shot from the point that was tipped in by Colton Kramer, Matt Hansen picked up his second assist of the night. The Cats were able to take the lead late in the second period. At the second intermission the Bobcats led 3-2. The final frame Bismarck’s Nick Miglio went coast to coast and gave Bismarck the 4-2 lead. The Bruins could not create a comeback in the third period and lost 4-2.
