Bruins Sweep Chill

The Austin Bruins wrapped up action against the Coulee Region Chill at Riverside Arena this Saturday Night. Austin got off to another quick start Jeremy Finger netted his 11thgoal of the season assisting was the future Colorado College Commit Matt Hansen.  The Chill was able to capitalize on a rush as Cory Lushanko beat Nick Lehr. At the end of two periods of play the score was tied 1-1. The second period the Bruins took the lead on the power play Trevor Waldoch was set up by Charlie Adams and Christian Folin. At the end of two periods of play the Bruins led 2-1. The third period the Bruins continued to grind AJ Reid dangled his way onto the score sheet with an unassisted goal. The icing on the cake came from Jeremy Finger as he scored an empty net goal to give the Bruins a 4-1 victory. Tonight the Bruins teamed up with Cooperative Response Center, of Austin, for a food drive. The Bruins and C.R.C. would like to thank everyone who has helped support hunger in the Austin community. All proceeds are being donated to the local Salvation Army. A press conference will be held Tuesday March 6th in the Riverside Arena front lobby at 11am.
