Bruins play a pair with Kenai River to close preseason

AUSTIN, MN – The Bruins wrap up their preseason schedule this week with two games against the Kenai River Brown Bears of the Midwest Division. On Thursday, the Bruins travel to Anoka Arena, where Kenai River is hosting their training camp. They’ll play a 7:00 game with the Brown Bears. Kenai River is charging $5 for admission. The game will not be broadcast.

On Saturday, the teams play a 7:05 game at Riverside Arena to close out the preseason, with gates opening at 6:00. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for just $5 general admission at the following Bruins ticket vendors: Hy Vee, Jim’s Marketplace, Games People Play, Holiday Inn and Austin Conference Center. Season ticket holders and children ages five and under will receive free admission. The game will be broadcast with live video (and audio) on FASTHockey.com, beginning at 6:55.

The Bruins went 1-1 against the Minnesota Magicians this past weekend to open the preseason, falling 5-1 on Friday at home and coming away with a 3-1 win in Richfield on Saturday. Returning veteran forward Evan Cholak (Kenosha, WI) scored a goal in each game.

The Bruins open the regular season one week from Wednesday at the annual NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN, with a 7:15 PM faceoff against the Topeka RoadRunners, of the South Division.
