Bruins Lose Close Game

The Austin Bruins kicked off a road trip on Thursday night that will span 1267 miles and three states. The First stop was against the Aberdeen Wings. The Wings were able to score on transition to get on the board first as Steven Oberzanek beat Tyler Bruggeman.  At the second intermission the Wings led 1-0, The Bruins outshot Aberdeen 9-7 in period number one.  The Wings added another in the second. The Bruins outshot the Wings 21-16 in period number two. At the second intermission the Bruins trailed 2-0. The final frame Austin scored a shorthanded goal courtesy of Jeremy Finger the assist went to Chase McDonald. Aberdeen was able to answer right back making it 3-1. The Bruins added one more before the end of the contest Jon Gerht was set up by John Simonson and Chris Fischer. The Bruins outshot Alexandria 31-21 in the contest. Austin could not prevail losing 3-2. Tomorrow night the Bruins will be in Minot North Dakota to take on the Minotauros at Maysa Arena. Log onto Fast Hockey.com for live play by play.
