Bruins Lose

The Bruins are back in action this weekend at Riverside arena. They face off against the Alexandria Blizzard. The only time the two teams battled this season the Bruins won 2-1 in a shootout in Alexandria. Keegan Asmundson was outstanding and Stopped 50 pucks.  Lately the Blizzard have been on a role, winning 3 of their last 4 contests. As the Bruins welcome the Blizzard to Riverside Arena the only remaining team unseen at home is the Aberdeen Wings. The Bruins started solid in the first period hurling 12 shots on goaltender Jake Williams. Mike Adomowicz got the Bruins on the board first, assisting on the goal was Nolan Kirley and Jack Walsh. The Blizzard got one right back as Brent Bain tipped the puck in from the slot. At the end of one period the contest was tied 1-1. The second period Alex Altenbernd gave the Blizzard the lead. The Bruins came back and Alex Tesensky scored an unassisted goal. A couple of moments later it was Charlie Adams pumping his 10th goal of the season. Assists went to Chris Fischer and Jordan Greenberg. The Blizzard than went on a role as Tommy Williams, Steve Zierke, and Jordan Nelson added one before the second period was over. The Bruins were trailing 3-5 after two periods. The final frame from Riverside was back and forth the Bruins fired 38 shots on Jake Williams. The Blizzard pick up the win 6-3.
