Bruins Lose!

The Austin Bruins sparked up their final home series of the season against the also expansion Aberdeen Wings.  The Bruins are coming off a victory against the Bismarck Bobcats at the VFW sports center in Bismarck North Dakota. Keegan Asmundson picked up his sixteenth win of the season as he finished the night with 49 saves. Entering the weekend the Bruins have beaten the Wings in all six meetings this season. The opening frame from Riverside Arena was action packed as the Bruins picked up a power play goal from Chase Macdonald assisting on the goal was John Kirby and Connor Quinn. The Wings than pumped in a goal courtesy of Paul Prescott. The Wings added one more before the first intermission from CJ Pullar. The Wings led 2-1 after one period. The second frame featured plenty of whistles. The Wings were able to add one more in the second. Tyler Poulsen put one in on the power play and the Wings had a 3-1 lead after two periods of play. The third period of play the Wings scored early in the third period on the power play as Louis Educate put one past Keegan Asmundson. The Bruins added their second goal as Jordan Greenberg tipped in shot from Nolan Kirley. The Wings added a couple more late in the period as the Wings beat the Bruins for the first time in seven meetings this season. The Bruins will wrap up their final game at Riverside Tomorrow for Fan Appreciation Night. Prizes will be given out all night. After the game you can skate with the Bruins and get autographs.
