The Austin Bruins wrapped up action this weekend at the Onalaska Omni Center to battle the Coulee Region Chill of the Midwest division. CJ Smith started the scoring off of a Chill turnover, assisting was Johnny Simonson. The Austin Bruins outshot the Chill 14-13. The second period Austin’s Johnny Simonson added his 16th goal of the season assisting was CJ Smith. The Chills scored 2 unanswered goals in the second period. At the end of two periods of play the score was tied 2-2. The third period Coulee added their third and fourth unanswered goals. Johnny Simonson scored his second of the night making it a one goal game. The Chill answered back with an empty net to win 5-3.
