Bruins fall to Chill

The Bruins continued the three game weekend in Coulee Region as they faced off against the Coulee Region Chill. The Bruins swept the Aberdeen Wings this weekend as they are now 4-0 this season against the Aberdeen Wings. With Saturday nights win the Bruins are now 7-7-3 at Riverside Arena. Coulee Region is coming off of two straight losses to the Owatonna Express. The Chill is in third place in the Central Division one point behind the Bismarck Bobcats. The Bruins had two players make their NAHL debut, forward Dawson Kulhman and goaltender AJ Underwood.  The first period from the Omni Center was all Bruins as they outshot Coulee 12-5; at the first intermission the game was scoreless. The second period the Chill turned things around as they scored four unanswered goals. Late in the period Jeremy Finger put one past goalie Aaron Davis. Assisting on the goal was Chase McDonald. After two periods of play the Bruins trailed 4-1. The final period the Bruins had 15 shots but couldn’t get one past the Aaron Davis. Micky Knox added one more for the chill as they skated to a 5-1 victory. The Bruins play next against the Bismarck Bobcats at Riverside Arena on January 21 and 22. Friday night the drop of the puck is slated for 7:30. Bring the family down to Riverside for youth hockey night any youth player from any team gets in to the Bruins game for only $2!  There will be a post game skate for any one that wants to skate with the Bruins players, and many other exciting events going on throughout the game!
