Bruins Dominate Bismarck

The Austin Bruins concluded play against the Bismarck Bobcats at the VFW. The Bruins came out in the first period and took a 1-0 lead as Johnny Simonson dented the twine, assisting was Chris Fischer. The Bruins added another from Chase McDonald assisting was Charlie Adams. At the end of two periods of play the Bruins led 2-0 and hurled 15 shots on net. The second frame Bismarck scored to make it a one goal game. Austin than took over in the second period dominating play. Jon Gehrt jumped in on the attack and was set up by AJ Reid. Next it was Jeremy Finger who added his 13thgoal of the season assisting was Charlie Adams. The Bruins made it 5-1 as Charlie Adams scored 16thof the season assisting was AJ Reid and CJ Smith. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 5-1 and outshot Bismarck 31-25. The final frame Bismarck scored on a rush making it a 5-2 score. Austin Nelson made it 6-2 as he went upstairs, the assists went to Matt Hansen and Christian Folin. Nick Lehr posted his 8thvictory as the Bruins won 6-2.
