Bruins clip Aberdeen Wings!

It was thirsty Thursday at Riverside Arena as the Austin Bruins faced off against the Aberdeen Wings. The Bruins came into action winning three in a row and coming off a sweep of the Alexandria Blizzard last weekend. The Bruins have bested the Aberdeen Wings in all four previous meetings. The Wings entered action after a split with the Owatonna Express last weekend. The opening frame was action packed and full of scoring. Charlie Adams pumped in a rebound from Jordan Greenberg; Alex Tesensky also had an assist. The Wings came right back and Geoff Ferguson ripped one from the point that went five hole. The Wings than took the lead as Brandon Platt found the back of the net. James Dickinson than tied the game at two as he scored his twelfth goal of the season, assisting on the goal was Jadin Martin and Trevor Waldoch. The contest was tied at two at the first intermission. The second period was a solid period for the Wings. Louis Educate scored giving the Wings the lead 3-2. At the second intermission the Bruins outshot Aberdeen 27-16. The final period from Austin Minnesota was action packed as Jack Walsh scored right away; assisting on the goal was Jadin Martin. Next it was the Orlando native Jeremy Finger assisting on the goal was Sam Olson and Connor Quinn.  The next goal came from Cody Hotchkin on the power play the assist went to John Kirby. John Kirby than scored on the power play assisting on the goal was Connor Quinn and Trevor Waldoch. The Wings added one more as Cory Ward scored the final goal for the Wings. The Bruins beat the Wings 6-4. The Bruins will be in action this Friday and Saturday as they take on the Alexandria Blizzard at the Runestone Community Center.  Log on to Fast Hockey.com for live play by play.
