Bruins back in WIN column!

The Austin Bruins were back in action Saturday with their fourth game in a row versus the Owatonna Express.  The Bruins came out of the gates with an attitude in the first period determined to get their first win in Riverside Arena.  The first period ended with the Bruins in front 2 – 0 thanks to goals by Mike Fazio and Jon Gehrt.  The Bruins kept the pressure on with a quick power play goal :47 seconds into the second period by Jack Walsh.  Two minutes later the Bruins capitalized again on a nice 2-1 play finished off by Jordan Greenberg wtih assists going to Charlie Adams and Cory Ellis.  Owatonna picked up a goal to close the margin down to a 3 goal lead at 4 – 1.  Again the Bruins started fast with a goal 1:26 into the third period to take a commanding 5 – 1 lead and end the scoring for the evening.  With the game in hand things became a little chippy with 3 separate fights in the third period.  With the fight in the first period, there were a total of 4 fights in the game.  The team will be back in action next Friday in Aberdeen, tune into Fasthockey.com to watch the game.
