BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: Miller Scores in College Debut

Oct 4, 2016

With October in full swing, the collegiate and pro hockey ranks have begun to hit the ice joining Juniors and that means we’re starting to track our Bruins alumni – a long and impressive list which got even longer after last season. This week’s report is rather limited, due to most teams still in preseason tuneup mode, but a few players made some news.

Jade Miller (Bruins 2014-16) wasted no time making an impression for the UMD Bulldogs, scoring in their season opener on Saturday night – a 6-0 win against Michigan Tech. Miller’s goal came at 2:35 of the 3rd period, the 6th and final goal of the game. The Bulldogs are off to a 2-0 start on the season.

Eamon McAdam (Bruins 2010-11) was assigned to Bridgeport, the New York Islanders AHL affiliate, where he will fight for the Sound Tigers starting role. McAdam was signed by the Islanders last year after a strong finish to his college career at Penn State. He appeared in one NHL game, become the second Bruin alum (Christian Folin) to do so.

Throughout this season, we’ll be keeping tabs on all of our proud Bruins alumni. As for the “Class of 2016”, Kris Carlson will soon begin his freshman season with Providence College, while Jacob Paganelli, Austin Rueschhoff, John Pesek and Paul O’Connor are trying to make an impact in the USHL.
