BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: Former B’s light up DI Docket

NCAA DI: Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15) was named ECAC Men’s Hockey Goaltender of the Week as he helped Clarkson to a three point weekend against Providence and UMass-Lowell. Kielly made 43 saves in a 3-3 tie on Friday against Providence before beating the River Hawks with 28 saves on Saturday. It was Josh Wilkins (Bruins ’14-15) who scored the tying goal for the Friars in the 3rd period, the first of his college career. Wilkins would then net his 2nd collegiate goal in a 6-3 win against St. Lawrence on Saturday night. In the Saturday loss for Lowell against Kielly, CJ Smith (Bruins ’11-13) scored two goals, and is once again off to the team lead, with four on the season. Smith led the River Hawks in scoring in both his Freshman and Sophomore seasons. Zach Driscoll (Bruins ’14-15) got a pair of wins for the St. Cloud Huskies in a home and home sweep of the Gophers over the weekend. Driscoll played the final 15 minutes of regulation plus overtime as St. Cloud erased a three goal third period deficit to claim a 6-5 OT win on Friday night. On Saturday, he stopped 27 of 29 in a 3-2 triumph. Jay Dickman (Bruins ’12-14) is off to a good start to his Sophomore season with Bemidji, scoring his team leading 3rd goal in a 5-4 loss on Saturday to North Dakota. Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) scored his first collegiate goal – the 7th Maverick tally in Mankato’s 7-1 drubbing of Alaska-Fairbanks on Friday.

USHL: Austin Rueschhoff (Bruins ’15-16) had a big weekend for the Dubuque Fighting Saints with a goal each night as they picked up a road sweep of Youngstown. Jacob Paganelli (Bruins’15-16) scored on Saturday as Omaha fell to the Chicago Steel, 3-2.
