BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: Former Bruins Dominate NCAA Circuit

NCAA DI: Jay Dickman (Bruins ’12-14) scored his first collegiate goal on Saturday in Bemidji State’s 6-3 win over Alaska. Dickman’s goal was unassisted and it opened the scoring 2:17 into the game. C.J. Smith (Bruins ’11-13) scored in each of UMass Lowell’s games this past weekend against Maine, adding an empty netter in a 2-1 win on Friday and scoring a powerplay goal in a 6-0 drubbing on Sunday. That’s four goals on the season for Smith and 3 in his last 5 games. Brennan Sanford (Bruins ’13-14) scored for the 2nd week in a row, finding the back of the net in a 6-4 Michigan State loss to Boston College on Saturday. Jason Pawloski (Bruins ’12-13) improved to 3-0-0, making 21 saves in a wild come from behind victory for Minnesota State over the U of M on Saturday.

NCAA DIII: Trevor Boyd (Bruins ’14-15) had a huge weekend, scoring in Adrian’s 4-4 tie with Marian on Friday and then netting two more in a 3-2 win the following night. Brian Bachnak’s (Bruins ’13-15) first collegiate point came as on assist on Boyd’s first Saturday goal.

USHL: Nico Sturm (Bruins ’14-15) scored his 5th goal of the season, the only Tri City goal, in the Storm’s 2-1 loss at Sioux Falls on Saturday.
