BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: Busy Weekends in Boston, Kalamazoo

ECHL: Eamon McAdam (Bruins ‘11-13), currently with the Worcester Railers, got the 4-3 win on Saturday at home against Manchester as he stopped 33 of 36.

NCAA DI: Justin Misiak (Bruins ‘15-17) of Michigan Tech was named WCHA rookie of the week for his game-winning goal on October 7th against Minnesota-Duluth, mentioned in last week’s alumni report. Although he did not register a point this past weekend, the Huskies went 1-0-1 at Lake Superior State. It was a big weekend in Boston for former Bruins now playing at Minnesota State-Mankato. Riese Zmolek (Bruins ’14-15) scored his first collegiate goal while Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) potted a goal and an assist, and Jason Pawloski (Bruins ’12-13) registered a 26 save Saturday shutout as the Mavericks swept BU, 6-3 and 3-0. The meeting between Clarkson and Western Michigan also featured multiple Bruins alumni notes as Nico Sturm totaled a goal and three assists while Dawson DiPietro (Bruins ’15-16) scored three goals. Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15) started both games, with 29 saves in a 2-2 tie on Friday and 35 more in a 4-2 Saturday win. Bemidji State and Minnesota-Duluth played to a 0-0 tie through OT until Jay Dickman (Bruins ’12-14) scored the only goal of the shootout in a 1-0 Beavers win.

USHL: AJ Drobot (Bruins ’15-17) got his first point of the season, an assist in Fargo’s 4-3 shootout loss to Youngstown on Saturday.
