Austin Sweeps Chill

The Austin Bruins Hockey Club wrapped up a two game series in Onalaska Wisconsin against the Coulee Region Chill. The opening period both teams had 10 shots on goal. After one period of play both teams were scoreless. The second period Austin dominated Coulee with 12 shots while Coulee had just 3. Austin was 0-2 on the power play through two periods. At the second intermission it remained scoreless. The third frame the big Jay Dickman scored a power play goal 30 ticks in. The Bruins made it 2-0 when Scott Nelson was set up by John Simonson. The Chill cut the lead in half with a goal from Andy Faust with just a couple minutes left in regulation. The Bruins stood strong as they swept the Chill with a 2-1 victory. Austin is back in action next weekend at Riverside Arena to Battle Minot and Bismarck, if you can’t make it to the Arena tune into AM 1480 KAUS.
