Austin Sweep Wings

The Austin Bruins wrapped up their home series against the Aberdeen Wings on Saturday night. After coming off a big victory on Friday night the B’s continued to dominate. Austin got their first goal from Captain Chris Fischer assisting was CJ Smith. The Bruins took a 2-0 lead when the big Jay Dickman set up Scotty Nelson. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 2-0. The middle frame Chris Fischer found himself all alone on a breakaway and wired one to the back of the cage as the Bruins led 3-0. Aberdeen was able to score their first of the night with just a couple of minutes left in the period. At the end of two periods the shots were dead even at 15 apiece. The third period Aberdeen was able to make it a 3-2 score. Austin came right back on the next shift and added their fourth with a John Simonson goal the assist went to Chris Fischer. Aberdeen than added what would be their last tally of the evening. Austin took over late in the third with a Rhodes Dolan goal, the assist went to Brandon Wahlin. The B's added their last goal from Scott Nelson the lone assist went to Jake Flynn.  Austin picked up the 6-3 victory to complete the sweep.
